Whether you are suffering from period pains, a hormonal headache or just a hangover, you will probably want to know about taking CBD and paracetamol together.

Traditionally, you may have always reached for the paras when pain strikes, but if recently you’ve moved on to CBD, then this is certainly a topic to cover.
Can you take CBD and paracetamol at the same time?
Good thing is, no interactions between cannabis and paracetamol have been found. While this doesn’t mean there won’t be, it means it is very unlikely. If you are really concerned then we suggest you contact your healthcare provider. There is a study on CBD and paracetamol, which you can read about here.
CBD interacts with up to 377 drugs and paracetamol is not among those drugs. Researches have been done to prove this.

Why might you take both at the same time?
Paracetamol is known to reduce fever (antipyretic effect). If you are suffering from a sickness bug, the flu or something like tonsillitis, then chances are you’ll be feeling pretty hot. Paracetamol helps to bring this temperature down.
Another time you might opt to take both at once is if you were almost doubled over in pain, unable to concentrate on anything but the cramps happening in your stomach. While CBD can act as natural pain relief, you might feel that you need a little extra help.
Pain that CBD may help with includes:
- Period pain
- Endometriosis flare-ups
- Headaches
- Chronic pain
- Fibromyalgia
- Arthritis Pain
- Cancer pain
How does CBD work to help with pain?
Everybody has an endocannabinoid system in their bodies. This is a cell signalling system. Researchers believe that CBD interacts with this system, targeting the endocannabinoid receptors in your brain and immune system.
The receptors are tiny and attached to cells, they receive signals and help your cells to respond. The response creates pain-relieving effects that can help with the pain you are suffering from. Studies into exactly how CBD works to reduce pain is ongoing, however, there is lots of anecdotal evidence stories, as well as small studies.

How does CBD help with period pain?
The lining of the womb is made up of smooth muscle tissue. CBD has been found to help relax smooth muscle tissue. During your period this muscle contracts, causing cramps and pain. When CBD works to relax this muscle it can ease cramps. There is still a lot to prove by researches in this domain therefore, it is still to be approved by govt. officials as medicine for period pain.

Should I take CBD over paracetamol?
We aren’t able to advise you on what to take. You should decide what works best for you, and if you are looking for something more natural or manmade. Moreover, every individual is different and responds to drugs differently, therefore, try to give a trial period to every drug you take.
You can take paracetamol and Our Remedy CBD at the same time, however, make sure you are not exceeding the dose of paracetamol. For an adult, the maximum dose is 4g in 24 hours.
When it comes to the dose of CBD, we advise one squeeze of the dropper per day. However, you can adjust this depending on your tolerance to the cannabinoid.
